Thanks to everyone who attended the 2012 LabKey Server Workshop! If you missed it, feel free to read through the information below and check back in Spring of 2013 for details on our next workshop. If you're interested in presenting at the 2013 User Conference & Workshop please email Ren Lis at userconference@labkey.com.
Workshop: September 21st - sold out
Update: the Developer Track and Power User Track agendas are now available.
The Workshop will answer the question, "How do I get LabKey Server to do what I need?"
The bulk of the day will be devoted to attendee-defined projects. LabKey's subject matter experts will have "office hours" allowing users to ask questions, get design advice, or troubleshoot problems. Other LabKey developers will circulate among the groups who are working on their own applications, answering questions and connecting them with the expertise they need. There will also be presentations by the LabKey team, covering topics based on feedback we receive from registrants.
We are expecting attendees to have ideas on very specific things they'd like to do with LabKey Server. We expect a wide range of users' expertise with extending and customizing LabKey Server, so there will be help whether you are just learning the platform, or if you are deep into building JavaScript pages.
Once you register:
- A member of the LabKey team will contact you to discuss your specific interests, and potential projects by September 3rd
- You'll finalize your project by September 7th
- A member of the labKey team will confirm your project with you
- The schedule of presentations will be available online the week of September 10th
- Remember to bring a laptop to the Workshop on September 21st
Wondering what subjects our presentations typically cover?Past topics have included:
- Tips, techniques and sample code for rapidly building applications using JavaScript, Ext JS, and LabKey Server queries
- Tools and advice for ensuring data quality on LabKey Server, including field-, row-, run- and batch-level validation
